brian setzers 68 review
a little review of this european tour.
the comments and photos are from the concert held in
Tilburg,Holland(in concert zaal 013)
date:26-8-2001

As for the review of this concert I will only put out some highlights. It was a good solid
rockin'show with an excelent performance by brian. The concert was sold-out
but there was enough space in the front rows and the audience was filled with
hepcats, rockers, bikers, alternatives, weirdos, some grey-hairs? and other guitar lovers.

The stage was backed up with neons, gaspumps and a huge american-flag(to show
some respect)but even without this flag you can feel the american spirit in the
music  that brian setzer plays.

The show starts with  the voice of elvis, singing burning love, when james burton
starts his guitar break then brian takes it over and the first  rockin' tune begins,
a classic version of johnny kidds, please dont touch.
When you look at the playlist you will see songs from the ignition album, many
stray cats hitsongs(golden oldies?),and some BSO songs.
what can I say,ROCKABILLY RULES,its good to be a cat.
the only part I didnt liked was the banjo part with a bad country
version of gentle on my mind.no then you can better listen
to the ballad, sleepwalk.(great version with a big response)
Brian comes back 2 times and end up this concert with are real rocker,
gene & eddie.
The 68 comeback special was ...cool.
